Hope Lane

On my way to football. Turned out to be a rather one-sided scoreline, even if the game didn't feel quite as uneven. I scored out first and, for far too long, only goal as the other team pulled away. Not sure what the xG scores would have been as their goalkeepers seemed to pull off a string of unexpected saves while ours committed several blunders to let in long range shots. And when out attacks broke down they counter-attacked much more effectively than we did - perhaps they had more runners in their team. It got to 1-9 before we pulled a few back at the end but still finished 4-10. One of those games.
