Goldfinch in the snow

It snowed last night and this morning was a white wonderland.  The birds were glad of the feeders although some were eating the natural food such as this goldfinch eating seeds from the flower heads and the extra of a blackbird on my grapevine (although this year a lot of them haven't ripened). Both were taken throughmy kitchen window.

I went for a walk around the village and a few of my photos are extras. Everywhere looks so pretty with a covering of snow.
