Autumn and Winter together

The photo should say it all.

Paths and roads were slushy this morning. Len went out to clear a path to the garage and the car.

We set off for the surgery as I'd had a reminder for an appointment this morning but the car park was closed because of black ice and cars were parked in the entrance and along both sides of the road. It was impossible to get out to walk down the path.

So I told Len to drive on, which we did, to the Miracle Café which was nice and warm. We had bacon and sausage for breakfast. Basil had a sausage too.

Then we went to the vet in Loughborough as Basil has not seemed to be himself lately. She put her fingers up his bum to clear his anal glands at which the poor guy barked and whined.

I've paid for bloods and urine to be tested. Ouch.

Back to the surgery to complain about lack of access this morning. The manager said she would remove the black mark assigned me for being a no-show.

On the way home, we stopped at Colin's as it's been ages since we've seen him. I passed on the G&T but did enjoy a cup of tea.
