Stromness in a Little Snow

First snows here in Orkney today. Not much, but it is supposed to continue for a few days.
I went to Stromness because of another report of a kingfisher, but, guess what? No luck!  There have also been a couple of sightings of what may be a snowy owl near Kirkwall, but I am busy for a couple of days. The first sighting was a bird caught in headlights so people dismissed it as a probable short-eared owl, but now a second person thinks they saw one in daylight and was sure it wasn't a shortie.
