A Gerbera - Complicated!

This flower was in a bouquet of flowers B brought me the other day when she came for a bowl of soup with us!  When you look at it it is made up of 200 or thereabouts little flowers.  It's an inflorescence.  I love its colour!

Today I spent a lot of the day cooking:  Carrot soup with coconut milk and after lunch I started making quiches.  With my DIL coming round one had to be made with oat milk as she is milk intolerant.  I simply ended up making them all the same way!!  It seemed much simpler!  

We didn't get out as there was snow on the ground in the morning so we preferred to stay in.  Most of it has gone now.  Hopefully tomorrow morning we can have a walk.

The girls used up the dough that was left.  8yo made some really good cheese straws whilst 10 yo made some little apple dumplings - but cooked in the oven.
