New beast in town

The old unicorn having been in quite a sorry state, work has been underway to create a replacement (as part of the overall restoration of the Merkat Cross). The new incumbent was installed today. I wasn't able to get down to the square until well after dark, and the lighting wasn't all I could wish for, but it was great to see the beautifully carved unicorn and I was quite pleased with the red streaks - actually the sheeting around the scaffolding, blowing in the wind.
