Progress

Really interesting talk by Dr Caroline Adams for the Chichester Women’s History Group this afternoon. It was all about the Queen’s 1591 progress to this part of the world. The group is new and is all about writing women back into history - and about time too! In the pipeline is a statue for Madge Turner, Chichester suffragette, the maquette for which has already been created. Amazingly, it will be the first statue of a woman in the county.
