Fieldfare
Since the arrival of the "winter thrushes" we have been looking out for fieldfares and redwings in the garden.
We leave these crab apples lying on the lawn to feed the birds, though none have come near them until today. The frost of the past two nights must have broken down the structure and softened them. This morning we had a fieldfare, 4 blackbirds, a chaffinch and a pheasant pecking at them.
This afternoon we had a trip into town and it was over a latte that I discovered I should have been at a dental appointment. I had confused the reminder for one The Man had later in the week as his reminders come on my more reliable phone. I was really apologetic!
