Wet

Just something I happened to spot in a farm entrance on this afternoon's dog walk, after the rain had stopped. 

Yesterday's weather was much better, but the day itself wasn't. First there was an email from the pet insurance company: we've two claims in at the moment, the first time we've ever claimed, and apparently there's a mismatch between the way we've insured our springer (neutered male) and the medical notes from our vet (no mention of his status in that respect). Instead of just quickly checking with the vet, they've closed the claim down until we've managed to convince them otherwise. OK, our vet's on it, but we're not impressed at the heavy-handed treatment - & the claim's now presumably at the end of the queue again.

Should have been out to photograph the conservation area I record quarterly but the car wouldn't start. Managed to charge the battery enough to start it but didn't trust it, so phoned the garage to see where we could get one of the correct size & shape. The car's a hybrid - luckily it was the starter battery rather than the BIG one - so can't just use any car battery. After several phone calls & much frustration when they promised to check & phone back, & didn't, we finally made arrangements to collect one (yes, had to recharge the existing one first) & it was dark by the time we got there. After all that, didn't have the motivation to Blip anything.

Maybe tomorrow will be better - a cross-country to the north of Norwich & it's going to be cold. Won't have a dead battery as an excuse not to go.
