New structure and use on the N scale layout
I am well along making an N Scale factory building, bought as a kit from Bar Mills. Their kit was designed to be a Pallet and Keg Co., named Pinkham's. See extra. A fun kit and many very small parts. They have started to use a very thin wood product for the windows - with glue on the back. In scale at 1:160!!! Each window is made up of a stack consisting of glass (plastic), lower sash, upper sash, spacer, and then it is put in the wall. There is a trim around the edge as well. Very nice. As usual I added significant bracing wood (in the kit) then painted the walls before construction, and making the doors and windows.
At each corner of the buildings there will be a small square piece of wood painted to match the windows. Currently laying on the table.
So - I am turning this building into a Inc Cream Factory for Ben and Jerry - a popular product in the US. It will have many more details - a water tower, roof sign, large refrigeration equipment (you have to keep the factory cold), and some smaller stuff and signage. .
Onward. BTW the main product is actually made by B and J and starred on Saturday Night Live. You will see that eventually.
