Dyke Marsh
Dyke Marsh Wildlife Habitat is behind the Mount Vernon Bike Trail. My sister lived across the parkway from it, but I never knew it existed. Today, my husband and I walked the trail as we completed a Geocache Adventure Lab.
The main is a view into the wetlands. The tall tree has two bald eagles in the upper right branches.
The extras are of a clever driftwood and shell sculpture that someone left on the railing of the boardwalk. The other extra is of some of the boats in the Dyke Marsh Marina. Behind the boats are (on the left) the Woodrow Wilson Bridge that connects Maryland and Virginia near Washington, D.C., and (on the right) the MGM Casino at National Harbor.
