Another Frosty Start

A very cold and frosty start to the day - so I was well wrapped up when I was out walking. This rather lovely leaf caught my eye - with the frost really showing up the pattern of the veins. The low sunshine was also helping to pick out the textures.

There was a bit of blue sky - see the catkins in the extra.

One of my ‘new’ walking boots (just 3 months and 300 miles old) has developed an annoying squeak/creak - it is very loud. I have cleaned them, tried new laces, tying tighter and looser, lubricated the tongue and ankle support, swapped the insoles and it makes no difference. I think it is something inside the sole as I can feel a vibration in my foot as it creaks.

I don’t know what else I can try to shift it….I really don’t want to take another pair back.
