A Winter's Day in Orkney

I caught the Current Mrs Creel, unawares, knitting in her fireside eyrie , prior to lunch.  We’re no ga ’an oot.  It’s skitey.  I went for fuel but that is it.  CMC is now tinkling away on her piano and then going on to her weaving.  I am in the throes of applying for funding the Friends if the Hoy Kirk for the 2025 season  I’m on page 546 of ‘The Sleepwalkers’ – but where to next ?  Clare Jackson, Ben Watt, John M Barry or David Abulafia?  I can’t image life without reading.  But I can without Reading.  Bernard pipes up ‘That’s non-aleatory; he could be right.
