Sunshine...but cold!

Goodness me but the GBBO was edge of the seat stuff last night! There were moments when I just couldn’t watch. The semi final show-stopper challenge will surely go down in Bake Off history as being one of the best, the four bakers each performed their best and the entremets they produced were out of this world! Thankfully my favourite, young Dylan is going through to the final. Whew! But sadly I will be away next week and won’t see the final until I get back, but surely he will win, at just 20 years old he is an exceptional baker, always keeps his cool and is so creative with his flavours.

This morning we had our first frost of the season and it was sunny but very cold. I went to my weekly golf group lesson and then only walked Xena after that, when it had warmed up a bit - still only 5C. I thought the pond could be frozen but it was not cold enough for that as it is a deep pond.

After lunch I wrapped the Christmas presents I have bought so far, as I need to hand some of them out on Sunday when we have our family lunch. It doesn't quite feel like Christmas just yet, and we will miss some of the build up which is a pity.

I have just gotten over my recent bout of bad insomnia but unfortunately I was awake again at 3am worrying about my flight. I was booked on the flight with an allocated seat all the way from London to Singapore and then on to Hanoi, but I assume they have changed the aircraft from Singapore to Hanoi because that is the flight for which I have no allocated seat. I am told not to worry that Singapore Airlines will sort it, but we plan to get to check in at Heathrow earlier than is required so we can resolve this. 

I am about to get the train to London, Luke and Meriel bought Gavin and I theatre tickets for our birthdays a couple of months ago and we are going to see Waiting for Godot with Ben Wishaw and Lucien Msamati. Luke knows I have followed Ben Wishaw's career for many years, I have seen him on stage a few times already so I am looking forward to seeing him again tonight.
