Lost in Thought

Going Straight Ahead (Widwed201124)

We were in Stratford upon Avon this afternoon so Gill could look for something to wear for a choir meal out .... not a great success.  However we did have a good walk along one side of the river, over the foot bridge and back up the other, before coffee in the blipper friendly Prospero Lounge.  As we passed Holy Trinity the light was looking good and, just as I was finding a viewpoint,  this rowing team passed by to add a little straight line intent to the image.

Then a little banking 'fun'  Gill had a few notifications arrive about unrecognised transactions, and I had a voicemail from our bank (Nat West) about the same - cue much irritation trying to get to speak to someone ... although when I did,  it was sorted out quickly.

Gill then had a message from one of her choir people about getting on-line banking set up. So, as HSBC was still open (!!!) we went in and asked ... one of the staff kindly went through the process at one of their terminals with Gill, so she is now set up. Her co-signatory just has to return an e-signed form and all should be well - I was impressed.  Perhaps the young woman involved had decided being helpful was a good way to get some word of mouth advertising?

There has been a good deal of IT related discussion here over the past few days as the choir's treasurer, although a thoroughly decent person, does not have an email address of his own ... and hand writes the accounts .... Gill is also now the chair of the art group and has the joyous task of sorting out the email listing of members.
I'm trying not to think  of the uncontrolled lists of members contact details on individual's PCs - particularly not the one who's email account was hacked a few weeks back  :-)
