High water, Whitstable harbour
As different a day to yesterday you would be hard pressed to believe. Still cold, a keen breeze this time with sunny skies.
For once the forecast from earlier in the week held true so we went to Whitstable, a favourite place for walking along the seafront. We park in Seasalter walking along the beach and prom to the harbour then on to Tankerton and beyond before turning around.
We had our lunch sat outside in the harbour area in the sun somewhat sheltered from the wind. By the time we’d finished our extremities were cold. Our walk is usually punctuated by a refreshment break at the Continental Hotel. Today was no exception. The hotel was warm and welcoming and the coffee good.
Fortified we walked on to Tankerton, turned around, coming back along the top of Tankerton slopes, see extra. The wind was rather keener on the return journey.
We had just finished dinner when the elderly neighbour of Doreen’s called to ask advice on printing problems. Seems his printer had lost its driver. Could I help?
I went up to see and indeed the driver for his ancient Brother HL-2140 had lost its driver. I managed to download the driver, install it and set it as the default driver. Whoopee! I thought. Then tried to print a test page. Error. Tried to print a word document, an excel sheet and a pdf. All to no avail, all stuck in the print queue.
Any experts out there know what might be the cause?!
An early start tomorrow as we’re going to a funeral in the Portsmouth area. Hope the M25 plays ball as it’s at 12.00
