The reflections of the blinds on the oak sideboard with its curved doors seemed to be an ideal blip for Bobsblip’s “Straight” challenge today.   When a joiner came to put up a new kitchen cupboard we asked about a new unit to replace this and he recommended that we should keep this (despite the fact that he would lose out on a sale). Originally it belonged to S’s grandparents and as a small child S has fond memories of sweets being kept in one of the drawers.  It is a very handy cupboard with loads of space and was part of a dining set but when S’s mother moved into a small flat she got rid of the table but kept the four chairs which we now use when we have several visitors.  I’m glad we took the joiner’s advice
