The mobile age
Planted out the last few pansies and a few more bulbs this morning - if the weather forecast's right, tomorrow the ground will be frozen and it will be impossible to plant anything for a while!
Walked into Holmfirth later, in the hope of inspiration. Thinking about the C word in November doesn't come easily, but as the festive season draws closer, I'm conscious of the need to start getting organised in an attempt to avoid the usual last-minute chaos! Far too stressful. Today's objective is to start finding gifts to be posted to distant family members. Fairer Trader came up trumps, just a couple more gifts to find.
Walked past this telephone box on the way home. In the mobile age, very few of the remaining phone boxes contain telephones. At present this one is full of tinsel and stars, and is wrapped in lights. No doubt it looks more impressive at night!
MrM drove into Holmfirth this evening and when he returned, earlier than anticipated, it was snowing heavily. A whiteout, and apparently cars were being abandoned on the hill.
