Little Stint (Calidris minuta)
Wee suprise visitor to the helideck today. I believe it to be a Little Stint. I had thought Dunlin at first but it is a good bit smaller than a Dunlin, and the snowy white breast goes more with the Stints description.. But, if you know better, please feel free to correct me.
The Ship is currently working some 60 km off the East Anglian Coast and it has been foggy of late so I reckon the poor little begger has got lost and is just having a breather. If he sticks around a few days we will give him a run into Den Helder in Holland.
