Guess who's coming to dinner!

Or more correctly who's coming for dinner. This was a surprise this morning to the birds and me. No birds were harmed in the making of this photo as they had all wisely scattered. The raptor in question appears to be a juvenile Cooper's Hawk (big bird), which makes me very glad the stray kittens are now in the basement (soon to be released to the whole house) and not still outdoors. Though I think these guys are bird specialists. One decimated my dove population one winter a few years ago .  It left shortly thereafter. If I remember correctly the yellow eyes turn red in adults.
