Tuesday
Quite a full day.
Another eye candy sunrise which is only truly recorded in one’s mind.
Breakfast before preparing a slow cooker full of vegetables and four chicken legs that I purchased from a local butcher in town yesterday.
An appointment with my accountant en route to Holsworthy for a “house” viewing.
A ground floor flat with shared patio/garden. The photos from the estate agent gave no warning of the horrific state of what lay in wait for me when the door was opened. First of all a damp stale odour wafted from the doorway, rubbish bags piled up and clothes literally lying on the floor and scattered on every single piece of furniture and unmade bed!
I looked at the estate agent and I saw that she knew what I was thinking. I was shocked, not only by the state of the property but also that the estate agent had shown me it in such a disgusting state. I could go into a more full description, but I think I have described enough.
I popped into the estate agent office on my way back to the car park, six desks, six people on their mobile phones, having realised none were there to see anyone face to face I turned around and walked out. Is this the state of communication and how desperate the housing situation is ?
Amadeus is most definitely the most suitable accommodation for me for sure.
I spent a John Lewis voucher at Waitrose before heading to Upper Tamar Lake with a pre prepared picnic lunch and walked briskly around the chilly but sun kissed lake. Minimal bird activity but we were entertained by flock of nearly 100 Lapwings, only two other humans were spotted there.
The slow cooker had done its job well and a warming bowl of chicken casserole was very welcome for us both:)
Grateful for the opportunity and health to be able to get out and enjoy the wonderful countryside in Devon and Cornwall with my little four legged Dippy.
Zzzzz
