Seriously?

Winter thoughts

This is George. Apparently, he is a Crested Gecko and lives with another gecko in a beautifully decorated terrarium at my brother's home.  I took the photo of George sitting on Gareth's thumb this evening when, along with niece and nephew, I visited bro for dinner. He has a cute face (George not Gareth!) but my Harry and Rufus are more cuddly

Glorious sunshine today, bitterly cold though. Daily excursion to the park was fun for Rufus, not so much for me. I think it's time to upgrade to my recently purchased full on winter coat - makes me look like I'm wrapped in a duvet  - and I'm wondering if the woofer needs a winter coat too.

It was a useful day. I was at the local GP's surgery mid morning for an annual blood test, which seems to be the norm for old folk here, followed by some out and about activities for a couple of hours, including an impromptu visit to the chemist for a flu shot that the surgery nurse suggested this morning. Another facet of the "old and in Britain for the winter" gem.

Note: back home tonight after dinner with bro, I've bought a ticket online to see 'The Marriage of Figaro' at London Coliseum in early February. Yay! Special offer, dress circle mid way back for £35 (half price).  Bargain.
