Last to go

After some house clearing, met my 3 lovely friends for a quick coffee and cake. I needed the break from house stuff.

Then back to meet up with Dot.T to begin their house move. DougsJB and G&J both wonderfully massively helped by turning up and lugging stuff down the 2 flights of stairs. We filled 3 big cars and a trailer to the absolute brim and still left stuff behind (the plants included).

Headed to their new home - only half an hour away but a silly journey because it was school out time.

We were met by a couple more helpers and lugged it all up another 2 sets of stairs. The trickiest bit was the second flight - a small, wooden staircase with a very narrow turning circle. So grateful for those who helped with those massive boxes. What a team effort.

We all headed off when everything had been unloaded and stacked up upstairs. And after WelshMan came back, they loaded up their car and my car for one more trip. So it was all done (bar a mattress, a chair and the deep clean) by 10’ish. (Oh, and all the unpacking).

Their new flat is lovely. Feels so much more spacious in its layout. I’m going to miss having them up the road and around the corner. They have moved for the church plant. And hopefully, we’ll be moving near them in the Spring as the house we’ve offered on is really not that far away.
