An even colder night - it was -8 first thing this morning and too cold to read in bed. D and I sat with our coffee in the kitchen (the only warm room in the house just now until we light the stove in the evening) and listened to our favourite podcast “The Rest is History “. This was an episode about Byron - what an interesting character he was! I got some knitting done as we listened, and the sun shone in on us, low in the sky.

I was out in the forest with Jess in the middle of the day when the sun was at its highest in the sky - that was an altitude of 14.8 degrees today. It will be lowest on December 17th and will not rise above 11.5 degrees until Boxing Day. Today I enjoyed the brief bright sunshine and I think we have another cold sunny day to look forward to tomorrow. I am planning a bivvy in the woods tonight :-)
