Southwell COP1

Around 30 people from various eco groups from across Newark & Sherwood, Southwell & villages near Nottingham attended this inaugural event in a Minster building. Led by XR I did a 3 min slot on SMEAG (Southwell Minster Environmental Action Group) and 11 others did the same on many varied topics. There was a great buzz and energy in the room and many new relationships built, new groups discovering each other and much food for thought. It was flowing so well that we omitted some planned group activities and thought capture time, but we have captured peoples contact details.

As one of the main organisers I was exhausted by the end of the day, but elated from the event and the possibilities it may lead to. You may find a familiar figure somewhere.
