Sea Front - Road Closed

The seafront was closed this morning due to the high tide and strong wind. It was also raining and very cold. I was able to get to the book / writing group though which meets in a seafront hotel. Today we were thinking about comedy and a cooperative writing effort. One of our group owned a small hotel once, and had many authentic funny stories, including one about a rat, but of course it has all been done before in a small hotel in Torquay. As usual we also discussed our aches  and pains. Jacqui went indoor swimming this afternoon , and I went for a walk along the front, no longer being battered by the sea. Many other brave pensioners had also emerged  to enjoy the elements. On the sea there were some younger dudes, and stick people, with boards, taking advantage of the conditions, which are usually only suitable for paddling.
