Afternoon row
Back blip - I keep forgetting to take photos and I am struggling to keep up with blip at the moment...among others. So apologies for the lack of comments..
I had a rowing related weekend. On Saturday, four other members of the club and I went to St Andrews for a day of training organised by the Scottish Coastal Rowing Association, on various topics such as expedition planning (which is my particular interest), skiff maintenance, oars, towing, rules for regattas etc.. It was really informative and interesting - as often, meeting and talking to members of other club was equally interesting.
Sunday was the beginners' session and I coxed a boat, then joined Julian at his mother's flat - he is finally getting round to doing something about it.. We were going see a concert in Portobello by a group of people I play with, but we were both really tired and decided to go home and have a quiet evening instead.
Monday was really cold! I chickened out going swimming in Glencorse Reservoir - I have a bit of a cold, so that was my excuse - but went rowing in the afternoon. It was beautiful and we finished as sun was coming down as blipped. I then had to rush to Dalkeith for my Covid and flu vaccinations, then back to Porty in tvé evening for band practice. We learned two new pieces and I really enjoyed the band's energy.
