Pena Palace

A morning of work, an afternoon being a tourist, and an evening trying (and most failing) to be creative.

Doing the tourist thing is not really me but it wouldn't have been right to miss visiting the grandest of Sintra's many palaces. It's a fairytale construction, almost like a child's dreamcastle, with interiors to match. The opulence verges on the obscene. The palace is set in a huge park with trails everywhere. It was easy to get lost. A day off from running but I walked miles and miles!
