Fire Rebuild...of many. large is better.

These shots were taken on my way to my personal training session with my Grandson Jake. He lives about 4 K past this shot.


For those of you who were following me in August of last summer, you will recall the devastating forest fire that ripped across this area. Our son and his family who own a log home beyond this rebuild house, lived with us for a month while assessments were done and areas were made safe, power restored along with water service.
This house represents the most southerly home that was burnt to the ground.


Extra: looking north, one can see 5 homes that are being rebuilt.  There are approximately 46 homes that will be rebuilt during the next 12 months or so.


Our son lives about 1 1/2 kilometres down this road and around the corner. His whole cul de sac was saved from the fire. However, he did have to replace many windows, have a new roof installed and a new deck topping done as the fire came right to his backyard..the heat was that extreme.
