A Butterfly Distraction...
What a gorgeous day!
After a morning of domestics, I'd set aside late afternoon to have stab at tackling my shot for my next Module for Camera School - nature.
The brief was to shoot a flower with specific camera settings, composition, etc... So I knew I'd have quite a choice of flowers at my local haunt - Trentham Gardens.
But I got distracted, and ended up taking some shots of bees and butterflies too! I just love the way the bright sunlight has highlighted the hairiness of this butterfly. It's not that wonderfully sharp - never mind - I wasn't supposed to be capturing butterflies. :-))
I was undecided between this shot and one I've put in my blipfolio - tortoiseshell butterfly. It isn't a quirky arty shot, this is exactly how the flower was angled and how the butterfly had attached itself. They can cling onto any flower at such odd angles.
I did get a few flower shots too, so I wasn't completely distracted.
