The Newmarket Stallion.

This magnificent Stallion is by Marcia Astor and the Trainer is by Allen Sly. The 15ft high Equestrian sculpture was unveiled in October 2000 and stands on the Stetchworth Toll Roundabout, nearby to the July Racecourse, Newmarket. It is a spectacular sight and although I have passed by many times I have never been able to stop as it is a busy main road. Today, however, my good friend Diane, drove down towards the racecourse so that I could walk back for today's blip. We then had a nice day out shopping and lunched on the best fish and chips we have ever had.
