First light...

...survivor of the cold. 

The Slipper Mill Pond froze over night, the first freeze of the season, and the ducks and coots are sitting on the ice waiting for the thaw. It is quite bracing and breezy but dry and beautiful in the sunshine. We are out soon to get a train (running with delays needless to say) to join friends for lunch hence an early blip from the garden.
