Home skies

I'm staying at my parents' house again tonight, because I have a wedding nearby tomorrow. They'll be starting to think that I'm just using them as a B&B! The drive from my place takes a couple of hours, and all the way I was looking at these great dramatic skies and really hoping that they'd still look good when I got here.

This shot was taken just a couple of hundred metres from my parents' house, and shows the River Foyle, which runs past us and on through the city of Derry/Londonderry (whatever you want to call it). I always think there's something very special about growing up near water, either by the sea or by a big river like this, and I'm really happy that I got to spend my childhood looking at this scenery, and walking and cycling by the river. This is the view that says "you're home" :)
