Please don’t water . . .

Reduced to an artificial carnation after yesterday.  This one has a story that I have told before.
 
This was one flower my Auntie could not kill.  It has survived umpteen carers who tried to water it (they were mostly successful as was the 'green' which I had to get rid of with bleach) and the move to the care-home where she spent her final days. It got watered there as well and I had to put a notice under it “DO NOT WATER!”
 
Today it has got another bleaching, this time to get rid of the thrips that have found a home since 2015.  (Back with the bleach after the photo session – they are stubborn!)
 
 
Beautiful sunny but cold day here.  So far we have escaped the pending weather with just a sprinkling of snow in the early hours of this morning.
