Posting Saga!

The Postie arrived today with two identical parcels, well almost identical!  Over a  month ago I sent a present to our Czech friends' daughter to mark her first birthday.  It quickly arrived in Prague and then spent almost a month in Customs there.  Then it appeared to be returning to me (?) or at least to the UK then all went quiet.  So earlier this week I got through to Royal Mail Customer Service (who do quite a good job of hiding their telephone number) and spoke to a very helpful woman who took a look at the tracking, decided it had fallen off the conveyor somewhere and advised me to make a claim, which I did.  I then re-ordered Terezie's present.

Today, I was looking at the tracking for the present when a second notification popped up and, lo and behold, both new and old arrived together, which caused some confusion for the postie who struggled to understand why the first package had gone all around Europe and come back to me.  When I messaged Terezie's Dad, Tomas, his response was 'Bloody Brexit'.  I agree Tomas.

So now we start again.  I shall parcel up both of Terezie's birthday books and see what happens this time.  Watch this space!

It was fitness session first thing and more challenging trying to stay upright on the black ice getting there.  Back home and it was time to hoover before lunch, after which I went up to the Drying Ground to do a bit more bramble bashing and securing of the dumpy bags ahead of the arrival of Storm Bert overnight.  It could be interesting at Parkrun first thing tomorrow morning....
