Still some snow left, temperatures are low for Öland, we had -5 this morning and a bit milder during mid-day. Meteorologically it's difficult as they say, lots of snow and hard winds are circling about on the Baltic sea but so far they missed us, which makes me glad.

Yesterday a calf nearly died during birth. My landlord moved it indoors to a sheltered space in the barn, he says the calf might make it. After the calf was born and he noticed the calf was very weak, he drove it into the barn using the wheelbarrow and then left the wheelbarrow upside down outside afterwards. One of the cows has been guarding the wheelbarrow all day, some scent might still be around from the calf. Who knows what goes on in a cows brain.
