Chickens

Back to the hen guardian's place today.  The roads were clear of snow all the way there, until I reached her road, which had not been cleared.  It took 15 minutes of trying to go back and forward, and trying to clear snow away, until I got safely parked outside her house.  But after that, it was a successful day.  The heating is fixed, and we learned the way forward for fitting a new more efficient boiler (but not in winter!).  We let the chickens out into the garden for a bit; most of them made for the clear area until the tree where they could scratch in the earth, but some wandered around the snow, or just stood in it looking around.  The small one in extras in heavily into moulting.
