Ooops... time to go

This old chair has had a loose cover on it that I made about 37 years ago.. one of the first I had made for my mum after I finished a course. The arm tops had been ripping for a few years and every time i have visited I have repaired them but this time round there was no saving it so I took it off!  Ooops... well, to be fair we were well aware that it needed reupholstering as the seat has fallen through and most of the stuffing appears to have fallen out of one of the arms.. sadly we cannot afford to get it reupholstered so today I waved goodbye to it and took it to the recycling centre. It had belonged to my Grandmother and it was in terrible state when my Mother received it but my cover had made it pretty at least and it was quite comfortable until recently .. ah well. The room feels different without it and we will need to get some sort of replacement soon. 
Looks like we might get a lot of snow tomorrow.. rather hoping not but will have to wait and see.
