Snow!
Storm Bert has apparently arrived! We woke to a white wonderland, and it was snowing heavily. Looks lovely when you don't have anything urgent to do, and we have been advised to stay home if we don't have to travel.
So I had a cooking day. Put a large silverside joint into the slow cooker (smells wonderful as I type). Made a large pot of sweet potato and carrot soup, and another using up some mushrooms and leeks I had in the fridge. All accompanied by Simon and Garfunkel cd, very enjoyable.
Our television had some technical problems due I think to the weather; it didn't bother me a bit, but Bob was a bit frustrated when he had finished his computer work and wanted to watch something. However, it is fine now.
Now in the afternoon the snow seems to be melting slowly, and the forecast is for heavy rain and strong winds, which will soon clear it all away. The forecast seems to be much the same for most of the country, so I wish you all a comfy and safe Saturday!
My blip today was taken from indoors, of our few remaining crab apples with some snow!
