6 months going on 6 years
Charlie looks like such a big boy when he sleeps, especially now he's taken to sleeping on his front. He goes down on his back but the moment he touches the mattress he rolls straight onto his side - usually to cuddle his Wabbit. Then, when I got to check on him later he's almost always on his front. Now I know he can easily flip himself back round it doesn't worry me.
I snapped this picture when Charlie took a long lunchtime nap on my bed. He was being grouchy when I tried to shower so I gave up, fed him and he conked right off for about 90 minutes! That was more than enough time for me to have a lovely looooong shower. It's the simple things that make my day.
Robin came home early today so I could meet him at the station and do the baby handover. I had an appointment to finally get my hair cut. It hasn't been done since before Charlie was born.
I hate hairdressers like I hate the dentist. Sitting in front of a full length mirror under harsh lights always makes me feel like absolute rubbish. I booked the appointment last minute at a salon 10 minutes down the road from the station. I didn't have high hopes of anything amazing, I just wanted to get rid of my very dead ends.
Turns out, it was one of the best hair cut experiences I've ever had. The stylist was glam but down to earth, honest but not brutal and let me read my trashy magazine in peace and quiet. The cut was great too. That's one more tick on my holiday prep t0-do list!
