Kendal Mountain Festival.

I braved  Storm Bert, driving rain, gales and the roads with enormous puddles to attend the Outdoor Swimming Session at the annual Kendal Mountain Festival. (No actual swimming. Just speakers and films). Very pleased to have new all weather tyres on my car.
Felt very sorry for the participants who had entered the 10km trail run and even more sorry for the 62 folks who finished the 50km Kendal "skyline" event. The winner took 4 hours and the lady in 62nd place took 10 hours. What hardy folks they are and they paid £100 for the privilege.
