Black-chinned hummingbird
Back blip
Other than when they're perched, the easiest way to catch a hummingbird in motion is when they're hovering: hanging in the air for a split second. That's how I got this black-chinned hummer. The sun was high, causing the shadow of its bill to land on its body. A male finally visited the backyard. This one from 10 days ago was the female.
I saw my surgeon today. He gave me a clean bill of health but told me I might still not feel myself for a little while longer and said more walking than I'm currently doing will help. He would like me to have a colonoscopy soon so they scheduled me in January. It's the last thing I wanted to do during the holiday season. I want to eat Christmas cookies - but I need someone to bake them for me. Mom used to make the most wonderful Italian holiday cookies! She tried teaching me but the directions were never written down. Just a list of ingredients. I inherited both her recipes and my grandmother's. Every recipe was the same...lists of ingredients only.

Pondering today ~~
1. I have a hard time deciphering the fine line between boredom and hunger.
2. How many times is it appropriate to say "What?" before you just nod and smile because you still didn't hear what they said?
3. If poison expires, is it more poisonous or is it no longer poisonous?
4. Every time you clean something, don't you make something else dirty?
5. If you replace "W" with "T" in "What, Where and When", don't you get the answer to each of them?
