Gulping

I received my first birthday message, eight days early. I wasn’t complaining as stretching out birthday celebrations is a nice indulgence.

I hosted an excellent exchange meeting between a group of NGOs and private sector organisations all active in the southern Tanzania northern Mozambique landscape. This is exactly what I want to be expending my energies on, as opposed to internal politics and systems. On my subsequent call with a German donor, I was mid-spiel through some points about the potential next phase of a project when I swallowed a fly. I had to gulp it down and continue seamlessly.
