All In Sync

A diary blip for a diary app.

I'd been looking for a while for a photo journal app/program to run alongside blipfoto, for several reasons. Being a pessimist I worry that something might happen to blipfoto one day with the possibility that I could lose all my journal entries. Also the Android app is no longer supported and doesn't work on my phone, and to be honest is not that great on my oldish tablet (which I have just decided to replace anyway). I also use a lot of extras and have to recycle, which means older ones are no longer there.

Earlier this year I found a super app, Diarium. The app enables me to keep all my extras, and keeps local copies so I don't need a connection if I am out and about. It doesn't of course show other journals, comments etc but I can tag entries and the search facility is really good. It also has this really neat 'on this day' feature, so I can look back through 7 years to see what I was doing on the day.

It's a paid for app, and you have to pay for each OS you want to install on, two in my case, Android and Windows. It's not expensive though, a one off purchase and the support is really good. I found a bug in the Windows app the other day and the developer looked into it immediately.

So, over the last few months I have been slowly copying and pasting my blips into it. I finished the job today, something to focus on when it was so wet and windy outside.

In other news I dusted my monitor shelf before I took the photo.

In other other news we had an Ocado delivery today. Somehow I ordered 2.5kg of baking potatoes. I only wanted two.
