The Railway Tavern
Until fairly recently (since 26 March 2024 when I last walked past it) it looked like a place that perhaps was at one time a pub but had for decades merely had the facade of a pub. But it turns out that it was, all the time, and for most of the last 150 years, has been, a pub. Indeed, the smallest bar in Scotland.
And so an outing was arranged. But to Dunfermline and then to Kincardine where Ronnie here serves a limited range of beers, one of which is the rarely spotted Tennents 60/-. A nice pint and at 3.1% you could drink it all day and feel none the worse for it, which is what we did. At least until tea time before a fish supper and the long trek home on the most meandering bus.
