Weird day

Sports training with Keely was cancelled due to the weather conditions, so we had a bit of a lie in.
The house was a bit cold after 2 days of icey weather and winds battering it, and also my nextdoor neighbour is away so no heat from them.
The dogs and I had an amazing walk in the woods, the wind and rain wasn't so bad under what was left of the leaf canopy.
I couldn't believe how well behaved they were, neither strayed very far from me, and at one point my attention was brought to a deer which was less than 10 metres in front of us. Keely immediately returned to me of her own accord and Dina came back as soon as I called. When I felt the deer had made a safe escape I released them, Keely just milled around and Dina started looking down rabbit holes. (Such a relief as my previous 2 Dalmatians loved nothing better than a deer chase)
When we got home I realised it was warmer outside than it was in my house, so I lit the log burner and we all snuggled up on the sofa.
Spent the evening sewing up a cardigan I've been knitting. I love knitting but hate the sewing up so it takes me ages to finish things
