Teachers' strike meeting in Hof, Akureyri

Teachers in Iceland are currently on a selective strike in a waging dispute with the state and local authorities.  Teachers in 11 schools of varying levels have been on strike since October 29th.
Today there was a meeting in Hof and roughly 300 teachers passed a resolution at the meeting demanding that the government uphold the agreements that have been made (in 2016, to be fulfilled in 8-10 years time) and ensure that teachers' salaries are comparable to experts on the public market.

These are the schools currently on strike:

*Laugalækjarskóli primary chool
*Lundarskóli primary school
*Garðaskóli primary school
*Seltjarnarnes’ preschool
*Reykjanesbær’s Holt preschool
*Reykjavík’s Drafnarsteinn preschool
*Sauðárkrókur’s Ársalir preschool
