Snowy Garden

I was so pleased we had got the lodge cleaned yesterday and our visitors safely in yesterday. This morning was not nice for being out. Storm Bert had laid down an inch, or so, of snow between the milklady calling and me waking up. By the time I was up and about it was raining.

This female pheasant has been in the garden for the past week. We know it's the same one due to her rich colour. She made her way across the snow and spent the rest of the day in the shelter of bushes near the house where she was handy for the fall-out from the bird feeders.

We made good use of the day by preparing a spare room for a visit from one of The Man's college mates.
