Snow in the city

It was dry and black first thing, but first rain and then snow came on not long after daylight. There was a good covering in a couple of hours, thick slushy stuff which looked very pretty; enough to cause Lothian buses to stop all service since they were having trouble with hills and other drivers sliding around. I decided that the normal Saturday morning errands would wait, especially since the forecast was for a significant warming later on.

Did a set of online orders for flower deliveries at Christmas, and reviewed the card list - it has additions as well as deletions.

Out later to the Georgian Concert Society - Musica Gloria were playing their first UK performance at the New Town church.
Nele Vertommen baroque oboe; Elise Dupont violin; Lena Rademann viola; Anne-Linde Visser cello; Beniamino Paganini harpsichord and traverso flute

Many short pieces from Telemann, JS Bach, CPE Bach, and Janitsh. A most harmonious and melodious sound; the group is from Bruges, founded by Beniamino in 2006 when he was 12.

The pavements were still icy and sloppy, though melting. Rain overnight.
