Slush day
There was noticeably less snow down here close to sea level than elsewhere. I saw that buses were disrupted, roads closed, and quite large amounts of snow visible up in Edinburgh. In fact, just getting the car out and going to the supermarket (because it was slushy underfoot and we didn't fancy getting wet) showed us that we were somewhat exceptional in having so little snow on the ground.
Anyway, I succeeded in having the completely lazy day I really felt I needed. A bit of domestic stuff just to keep the place moderately clean and tidy. But, for the rest, lots of time under the blanket on my chair, occasionally reading a bit, and mainly just messing around on my phone letting my mind wander. I also used the new app on my phone to turn the heating on. That's quite fun.
By the evening, it was already starting to warm up, although it was still wet. No sign at all of high winds although they may still be to come on Sunday evening. We watched a Storyville documentary about happiness in Bhutan, that turned out to be substantially about statelessness, which was interesting, and then one episode each of Mastermind and University Challenge. Early to bed for a good long sleep.
